Empowering Leaders at Jasmine Healthcare

Jasmine Healthcare provides a combination of nursing, residential and dementia care across its six care homes. Their homes are all original period properties with character, at the heart of the local communities which they serve.

The Brief

Newland Partners was approached by Jasmine Healthcare, as the Leadership recognised that despite strong values, the team wanted to improve their trust, communication, and personal accountability, which were all critical to high-performing collaboration.

The management team wanted to address these cultural friction points and create a more cohesive, self-aware leadership group. The goal was to embed consistent language and behaviours around trust, teamwork and accountability, and to develop a shared commitment to improvement across the support hub and wider leadership structure.

Jasmine Healthcare chose to partner with Newland Partners due to the bespoke approach, locality, and reputation for interactive and impactful delivery.

The Solution

The engagement began with a refresher on Insights™ Discovery, a powerful psychometric tool for improving self-awareness, communication, and teamwork. This session helped re-engage the team with a shared language of colour energies. Feedback from the session was overwhelmingly positive and many felt it was more impactful and engaging than their prior experience.

From there, the programme evolved into a tailored leadership development journey focused on:
• Deepening trust and communication within teams
• Creating shared accountability frameworks
• Aligning team culture with the organisation’s values

A bespoke team-building day was then delivered to explore blockers to trust and collaboration. This was followed by an interactive, customised session on accountability, inspired by The Oz Principle. This bespoke day introduced memorable tools such as “Above the Line vs Below the Line” behaviours and the Accountability Ladder, providing practical language that has since become embedded in daily conversations.
Newland Partner’s ability to combine structured frameworks with flexibility allowed for a balance between standard tools and tailored application, all delivered through highly interactive sessions that resonated strongly with the team.

The Impact

Results and Feedback:

The results of the programme have been wide-reaching and long-lasting. The team reported:
• Improved accountability across departments
• Open conversations around trust and behaviour
• Widespread adoption of ‘above/below the line’ language in team dynamics
• Greater understanding of different communication styles through Insights™
• Continued use of Insights™ in onboarding and recruitment to build balanced, diverse teams

The sessions were described as “memorable” and “transformational” for the leadership team. The Oz Principle session in particular was highlighted as “fun, interactive, and engaging.”

The organisation has now fully embedded Insights™ into both its induction and recruitment processes, using it to build stronger, more diverse teams with a conscious approach to personality and communication style.

Chris Clark, a senior leader within the organisation, noted:

“It’s been about team building, improving the accountability of the team and the culture. The combination of interactive delivery, practical tools, and bespoke content has made a lasting impact.”
The partnership with Newland continues to support the organisation’s mission of being one united, values-led team, who are committed to growth, openness, and effective leadership.
