Build A Great Place to Work
With the business already running core objectives that focused on 3 key objective parameters, HR strategy was introduced to provide a 4th Objective that focused on working together to build a highly energised, engaged and results focused culture that helped grow our reputation as leaders in our respective business sector.
The Human Resources/Learning & Development function created a Code of Conduct and HR Policy library that acted as the foundation of people processes and management. Improvements in Rewards & Benefits followed suit and an enhancement of internal training programmes helped supplement the growth of people within the organisation.
The function improved professional levels of support, guidance and advice to all colleagues and the management community. The introduction of a board-backed Leadership Development Programme helped enhanced the cultural change to see a shift in attitude towards a building a coaching culture and installing growth mindset amongst colleagues.
Improvement in levels of attrition, net promoter scores and a reduction in functional direct/indirect costs are examples of how the HR function showcased the value added by the introduction of a business objective that focused on people growth and building a great place to work.
Mergers & Acquisition
The time was right in the managed print sector for an acquisition that has created the undisputed market leader in Europe.
Our involvement began at the pre-close stage of the deal to assist in organisation design and plans for integration.
A 2 phase restructuring programme followed encompassing the transfer of staff into the acquiring entity and management of redundancy processes.
In parallel to the 'transactional' aspects of the integration, we embedded an internal employee learning programme geared to helping employees take control of their futures within the operational and cultural changes resulting from the acquisition.
Whether staff were staying with the company or off to pastures new the aim was to equip them with a positive mindset, skills and techniques that would enable them to achieve their full potential.
Beyond the value derived to the Company from savings in the cost of service, our approach has also helped create a platform for future growth and strived to promote a positive impression of the business in the minds of those who have departed for new opportunities.
